Vox Antiqua is a chamber choir based in the greater Milwaukee area dedicated to the performance of early music (music composed before 1800).

Vox Antiqua is looking for singers on all voice parts to join our existing ensemble for the 2018-19 season.

Auditions consist of an individual interview/audition to be scheduled with the Artistic Director.  Prospective Vox Antiqua members will be evaluated on their tonal memory/pitch accuracy, sight reading, vocal timbre, flexibility in vocal color, ability to sing a cappella, and blend.  No prior preparation is required, although singing a prepared solo composed prior to 1800 is preferred.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church (5327 W. Washington Blvd. in Milwaukee).  Singers must attend rehearsals regularly and may miss no more than two rehearsals for a given concert, with no absences allowed during the last two weeks prior to a concert (possible exceptions will be made for great extenuating circumstances).  Singers are also expected to spend some time rehearsing and preparing for rehearsals individually.

Auditions will be held by appointment between Aug. 15-24, 2018.  For more information or to schedule an audition appointment, please contact Artistic Director Alexa Doebele:
